November 2020 Regular Meeting

The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana, on November 9, 2020. The council members present were Mayor M. Stein Baughman, Robert Allen, Thomas Nation, Caroline Gatson, Ricky Johnikin and Jerry Taylor.

The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Baughman called the meeting to order. Invocation was offered by Alderman Taylor.

As state law requires, Mayor Baughman offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items at this time. There were no comments.

On motion by Taylor, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the minutes from the October 12, 2020, regular meeting and October 21, 2020 special meeting.

On motion by Taylor, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to approve the payables from

October, 2020.

On motion by Taylor, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to accept the monthly revenue and expenditure report as presented.

At this time Alderman Allen introduce Ordinance No 04-20 pertaining to declaring surplus property. A public hearing will be held to hear the views and opinions of citizens concerning the adoption of said ordinance.

On motion by Taylor, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the Fire Department mileage reimbursement for 2020.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Nation and unanimously approved to accept the bid from A & J Dirt Work, LLC, for the land advertised for bids. A & J Dirt Work, LLC was the only bid received and was for $29,500.00.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Taylor and unanimously approved to approve a two year lease renewal for Union Counseling, LLC.

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Taylor and unanimously approved to appoint, Dee Nyegaard, as Deputy Town Clerk.

There being no further business to come before the council this meeting was adjourned on this the 9th day of November, 2020, by Mayor Baughman, upon motion by Gatson, seconded by Allen.
