The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Community Center, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana, May 12, 2025. The council members present were Mayor John Crow, Alderman Robert Allen, Caroline Gatson, and Thomas Nation. Aldermen Ricky Johnikin and Kerry Hill were absent

The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Crow called the meeting to order and invocation was offered by Mr. Keith Jeselink.

As state law requires, Town Clerk, Gay Nell Pepper, offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items at this time. There were no comments.

On motion by Nation, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to approve the minutes from April 14, 2025 regular meeting the April 29, 2025 special meeting.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Nation and unanimously approved to approve the payables from April.

On motion by Nation. seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to accept the monthly revenue and expenditure report for March as presented.

On motion by Nation, seconded by Allen an unanimously approved to have our summer worker program again this summer.

At this time Alderman Allen introduced Ordinance No 02-25 pertaining to surplus property. A public hearing will the held to hear the views and opinions of citizens pertaining to its adoption.

At this time Alderman Allen introduced Ordinance No 03-25 pertaining to sewer rates. A public hearing will be held to hear the views and opinions of citizens pertaining to its adoption.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Nation and unanimously approved to confirm the following action taken by the Farmerville Zoning Commission:

1. To change the zoning classification of all property located at 901 James Ave., belonging to East Union Hospital Service District to Public/Semi-public.
2. To change the zoning classification of all property located at 605 James Ave: Ruland Dr.: and Old Carr Rd ., belonging to John Crow to Public/Semi-public .
3. To change the zoning classification of all property located at 621 Holder Rd, belonging to C & W Properties to R3.

There being no further business to come before the council, Mayor Crow, declared this meeting adjourned this 12th day of May, 2025, on motion by Allen, seconded by Nation.
