Town of Farmerville Regular Meeting Minutes for January 2026
The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Community Center, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana, January 12, 2026. The council members present were Mayor John Crow, Alderman Robert Allen, Caroline Gatson, Ricky Johnikin. Alderman Thomas Nation and Kerry Hill were absent.
The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Crow called the meeting to order and invocation was offered by John Richard Anderson.
As state law requires, Gay Nell Pepper, offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items at this time. There were no comments.
On motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved to approve the minutes from December 8, 2025, regular meeting and January 5, 2026 special meeting.
On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the payables from December.
On motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved to accept the monthly revenue and expenditure report for November as presented.
On motion by Allen, seconded by Nation and unanimously approved to approve the following liquor license renewals for 2026:
Family Dollar – Class “B” Retail Beer
On motion by Allen, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved to change the cost of rental for Willie Davis Recreational Center for bereavement use to $200.00 plus $100.00 refundable cleaning fee for weekends and $100.00 plus $100.00 refundable cleaning fee during business hours.
On motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved to approve the following action taken by the Farmerville Zoning Commission:
1. To change the zoning classification on property located at 1005 Cedar St belonging to Lee Roy Warren to R3.
Alderman Thomas Nation and Kerry Hill came in at this time.
There being no further business to come before the council on this the 12th day of January, 2026. This meeting was declared adjourned upon motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved.
