Thomas Jay Hestle of Clinton, Mississippi, made a big splash this past Saturday by reeling in a massive 13.14 lb bass while fishing with his dad, Jason Hestle, on Lake DArbonne.

In a moment that highlights the spirit of conservation, Thomas' grandfather, Dennis Bratton, proudly released the trophy fish back into the lake, ensuring future generations have the same thrill of the catch.
