Notice of Employment

The Town of Farmerville is accepting applications until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, for Director of Parks and Recreation. All applications must be pick up at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 1024 Sterlington Hwy, Farmerville, Louisiana. A list of qualifications can also be picked up at Farmerville Town Hall or requested by email at dnyegaard@farmerville.org beginning Thursday, April 28, 2022. All completed applications must be returned to Town Hall or emailed to jcrow@farmerville.org.

Qualifications for Director of Parks and Recreation

• All applicants must have good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Must have the ability to oversee and manage staff within the parks and recreation department.
• Must be able to effectively discuss policy, plans, and budgets with city officials.
• Must be able to develop and implement recreational programing for all age groups.
• Must be able to schedule and oversee use of recreational facilities.
• Must be CPR Certified or able to obtain certification within three(3) month. 
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check.
• Prefer at least 4 years of experience working with youth.
