Regular Meeting
February 8, 2021

The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana, on February 8, 2021. The council members present were Mayor John Crow, Alderman Robert Allen, Thomas Nation, Caroline Gatson, Ricky Johnikin and Kerry Hill.

The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Crow called the meeting to order. Invocation was offered by Alderman Johnikin.

As state law requires, Town Clerk, Gay Nell Pepper, offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items at this time. There were no comments.

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Hill and unanimously approved to approve the minutes from the January 11, 2021, regular meeting.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the payables from January, 2021.

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved to accept the monthly revenue and expenditure report as presented.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Hill and unanimously approved to appoint Ernest "Bim" Coulberston as Chief of Police for the current term.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Hill and unanimously approved to approve the reappointment of current zoning board members with the exception of District “C” which will be appointed at the next council meeting.

On motion by Hill, seconded by Nation and unanimously approved to authorize mayor to sign agreement with MML&H for Professional Services pertaining to the Louisiana Watershed Grants.

On motion by Hill, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to award the bid for LCDBG Water Improvement Project to lowest bidder, JABAR Corporation and authorize mayor to sign notice of award for Base Bid and Alternate No. 1 in the amount of $939,444.90.

There being no further business to come before the council this meeting was adjourned on this the 8th day of February, 2021, by Mayor Crow, upon motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin.
