Love the Waterways

Lake D’Arbonne is more than a place to fish, boat and enjoy the outdoors. It is an important part of the community and a resource that deserves to be protected. This Saturday, September 26, the community has an opportunity to give back during the Lake D’Arbonne Cleanup Classic.

From 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., fishermen, families, friends and community members are invited to get on the water and help remove trash from Lake D’Arbonne.

Help Keep Lake D’Arbonne Beautiful

The Lake D’Arbonne Cleanup Classic is about more than picking up litter. Every piece of trash removed from the water helps protect the lake, its wildlife and the natural environment that people enjoy throughout the year.

Participants can bring their boats, gather their crews and spend the morning helping clean up the lake. And while the focus is on giving back, there is also some friendly competition involved.

Cash prizes will be awarded based on the most trash collected.

It is a chance to make a difference while spending time on one of the area's most important waterways.

Local fishermen know how much Lake D’Arbonne has to offer. The cleanup is an opportunity for anglers to give something back to the lake that provides countless hours of recreation and enjoyment.

A Community Effort for the Future

Participants will also have the opportunity to win a free weekend stay at Lake D’Arbonne State Park, donated by Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser.
