Regular Meeting

 

April 13, 2026

 

 

 

The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Community Center, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana, April 13, 2026. The council members present were Mayor John Crow, Alderman Robert Allen, Kerry Hill, Caroline Gatson, Ricky Johnikin and Thomas Nation.

 

 

The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Crow called the meeting to order and invocation was offered by Caroline Gatson.

 

 

As state law requires, Chelsea Mejia, offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items at this time. There were no comments.

 

 

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Nation and unanimously approved to approve the minutes from March 9, 2026, regular meeting and March 12, 2026, special meeting.

 

 

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the payables from March.

 

 

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to accept the monthly revenue and expenditure report for February as presented.

 

 

At this time Ordinance No 02-26 pertaining to renewal of Delta Utilities Franchise Agreement was introduced by Alderman Allen. A public hearing will be held at our next regular meeting on May 10, 2026.

 

 

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to appprove the following zoining changes and recommendations.

 

 

1. To change the zoning classification on property belonging to Veronica Williams located at 806 Maple Street to R-3.

 

2. To change the zoning classification on property belonging to Amanda Johnson located at 606 Maple Street to R-3.

 

 

There being no further business to come before the council on this the 13 day of April, 2026. Mayor Crow declared this meeting adjourned upon motion by Gatson, seconded by Hill and unanimously approved.
