February 2017 Minutes
The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana.
The council members present were Mayor M. Stein Baughman, Jr., Aldermen Jerry Taylor, Lavelle Maine, Caroline Gatson, Ricky Johnikin, and Robert Allen.
The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Baughman called the meeting to order.
At this time Mayor Baughman offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items.
On motion by Gatson, seconded by Taylor and unanimously approved to approve the minutes from the January 9, 2017, regular meeting.
On motion by Taylor, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the payables for January.
On motion by Taylor, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to approve the Final Change Order and Substantial Completion for Folley Beach project.
On motion by Maine, seconded by Allen to approve a new Class “A” Retail Liquor license for Main Street Grill. Motion carried unanimously with one abstain from Taylor.
On motion by Maine, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the street closures for the Black Heritage Festival and Parade to be held on February 18, 2017.
On motion by Taylor, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved to confirm the appointment of the following Zoning Commission Members:
District “A” Connie Bearden
District “B” Latonya Peavy
District “C” Gus Warren
District “D” Marvelene Braggs
District ‘E” Charlie Crow
On motion by Gatson, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to approve the following overtime of $10,4680.55 from the previous month.
There being no further business to come before the council, Mayor Baughman declared this meeting adjourned upon motion by Gatson, seconded by Taylor, and unanimously approved.
