The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana
The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana, on December 18, 2018. The council members present were Mayor M. Stein Baughman, and Alderman Jerry Taylor, Lavelle Maine, Caroline Gatson, Robert Allen, and Ricky Johnikin.
The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Baughman called the meeting to order. Invocation was offered by Alderman Johnikin.
As state law requires, Mayor Baughman offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items at this time.
On motion by Taylor, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the minutes from the November 13, 2018, regular meeting.
On motion by Taylor, seconded by Maine and unanimously approved to approve the payables from November.
On motion by Maine, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to accept the monthly budget report as presented.
On motion by Taylor, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to approve the appointment of Mayor Baughman to the ULRWSI Board.
At this time Mr. Kent Antley requested to purchase some land located in the Town’s Industrial Park located on Hwy 15 North for a trailer park. The request was taken under advisement.
On motion by Gatson, seconded by Taylor and Maine to replace the current time clock policy with the following to be added to the personnel policy:
TIME CLOCK POLICY
In order to maintain our payroll records, all employees must clock in on the appropriate clock provided.
In the event an employee forgets to clock in or out, or the clock malfunctions, report to your supervisor immediately. The supervisor shall notify the payroll office in writing of the missed punch, as soon as possible. Failure to do so could and will result in not being compensated correctly. In the event of an absence the supervisor must complete a leave form on themselves and their employees. All leave forms and time sheets must be signed by the department supervisor and turned into payroll office by 9:00 a.m. on the Thursday following the end of the payroll period.
All time shall be documented on the time clock except when an employee is called out for emergencies. All employees are required to take their scheduled lunch breaks unless an emergency situation has been approved by the mayor.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Maine and unanimously approved to approve the overtime from October of $7,914.88.
Mr. Robert Lemoine address the council to suggest that we name the Downtown Shopping District “Shop Darbonne.”
There being no further business to come before the council, Mayor Baughman declared this meeting adjourned this the 10th day of December, 2018, upon motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin, and unanimously approved.
