June 11, 2018 - Regular Meeting

The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana

The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana, on June 11, 2018. The council members present were Mayor M. Stein Baulghman, and Alderman Jerry Taylor, Lavelle Maine,  Caroline Gatson, Robert Allen, and Ricky Johnikin.

The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Baughman called the meeting to order.

At this time Mrs. Jean Gilstrap presented the Mayor and Council with a plaque for winning the Louisiana Cleanest City Contest in our District.
    
As state law requires, Mayor Baughman offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items at this time.

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Maine and unanimously approved to approve the minutes from the May 14, regular meeting.

On motion by Taylor, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to approve the payables from May.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to authorize the mayor to sign change order #3 on the LCDBG Sewer Project after approval from the State.

On motion by Allen seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the Annual Utility Write-Off list as presented.

On motion by Taylor, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to select The “Gazette” as our official journal for 2018/2019 fiscal year.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Johnikin and approved with one nay from Taylor to issue a Bottle Club license to Rockese Goree, dba/Club Bando, located at 208 Barron Drive.

On motion by Taylor, seconded by Allen an unanimously approved to accept the proposed budget and have a public hearing on its adoption on June 25, 2018.

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to accept the monthly budget report as presented.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the overtime of $2378.16 from May, 2018.
        
There being no further business to come before the council, Mayor Baughman declared this meeting adjourned this the 11th day of June, 2018, upon motion by Taylor, seconded by Gatson, and unanimously approved.
