May 14, 2018- Regular Meeting

The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana

The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana, on May 14, 2018. The council members present were Mayor Pro-tem  Jerry Taylor, and Alderman  Lavelle Maine,  Caroline Gatson, Robert Allen, and Ricky Johnikin. Mayor Baughman was absent.

The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Pro-tem Taylor called the meeting to order.
    
At this time Mayor Pro-tem Jerry Taylor offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items.
            
On motion by Maine, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to add Owl Creek Fire Station to the agenda.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Maine and unanimously approved to authorize an hydraulic study for drainage ditch in James Addition south of Terral Pond.

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to reappoint Linda Austin and to appoint Theon Butler to the Farmerville Housing Authority Board.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Maine and unanimously approved to enter into a joint  endeavor agreement with Zion Hill Community Back to School Program for $1000.00.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to award the Willie Davis  Recreation Center Air Condition repair and update contract to Albritton Service Company, LLC, with a low bid of $49,075.00

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to approve the monthly budget report as provided.

On motion by Maine, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the overtime of $3217.26 from April, 2018.

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved to authorize the Fire Chief and Mayor to award Owl Creek Fire Station addition contract to lowest responsible bidder.
    
There being no further business to come before the council, Mayor Pro-tem Taylor declared this meeting adjourned this the 14th day of May, 2018, upon motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin, and unanimously approved.
