The Farmerville Town Council met in regular session at Farmerville Town Hall, located at 407 South Main Street, Farmerville, Louisiana, on September 11, 2017. The council members present were Mayor Pro-tem Jerry Taylor, and Alderman Caroline Gatson, Ricky Johnikin, and Robert Allen, Lavelle Maine. Mayor M. Stein Baughman, Jr., was absent.

The roll was called and with a quorum present Mayor Pro-tem Jerry Taylor called the meeting to order.

At this time Mayor Pro-tem Taylor offered the public the opportunity to voice their opinion on all agenda items.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the addition of the following to the agenda:

Item No. 4 To old Business. Approve Budget for “175th” Anniversary Celebration.

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved to approve the minutes from the August 14, 2017, regular meeting.

On motion by Maine, seconded by Allen and unanimously approved to approve the payables for August.

On motion by Johnikin, seconded by Maine and unanimously approved to table the budget for the “175th” Celebration.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve three(3) more one-hour parking spaces for the north side of East Bayou between Washington and Main.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to authorize to advertise for the next FEMA project and authorize the mayor to award to lowest responsible bidder.

On motion by Gatson, seconded by Johnikin and unanimously approved to authorize the mayor to sign necessary documents accepting the buildings from the Union Parish Police Jury.

On motion by Allen, seconded by Gatson and unanimously approved to approve the overtime of $10,298.44 from August.

There being no further business to come before the council, Mayor Pro-tem Taylor declared this meeting adjourned upon motion by Gatson, seconded by Allen, and unanimously approved.
